Easy Green Beans Stew With Rice Recipe

Easy Green Beans Stew With Rice Recipe

To prepare this meal, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 kilogram of beef sliced in cubes
  • 1 kilogram of fresh or frozen green beans
  • 1 kilogram of rice of your choice
  • 1 head of garlic peeled and ground
  • 300 grams or 1 bunch of fresh coriander leaves washed and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 1 can dice tomatoes
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 liters of water
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 4 tablespoons of  broken Vermicelli noodles
  • 1 bouillon cube
  • 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil

How To Prepare This Easy Green Bean Stew With Rice Recipe

  • Put the oil into a large pot and heat it, add in the meat, cinnamon stick and bay leaves and fry it until liquid evaporates
  • Add in the garlic and continue to stir it until the garlic is light gold
  • Add in the coriander leaves and continue to stir for 30 seconds
  • If you are using fresh green beans, wash it and break them into one-inch pieces
  • Add them to the meat and lower the heat let it cook for 15-20 minutes or until it changes color
  • If you are using frozen green beans, only fry it with the meat for 5 minutes
  • Add in the tomato paste + dice tomatoes and stir it for 1 minute before adding in 1 liter of water, bouillon cube, and salt
  • Increase the heat to medium heat and let it cook for 30-45 minutes until the stew thickens

Time To Cook The Rice

  • Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil into a large pot and add in the noodles
  • Fry it until it turns golden brown in color
  • Wash the rice and drain the liquid, add it to the noodles and fry it together for 2 minutes
  • Add in 4-5 cups of water, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, stir and let it come to a boil
  • Cover and lower the heat and let it cook until done

Serve this stew with the rice and a slice of fresh lemon and enjoy!
