- Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F. While it warms up, use a paper towel to pat the chicken wings completely dry.12 Chicken Wings
- Place the dried wings into a large zip-lock bag or a large mixing bowl.
- Add the baking powder, lemon zest, sea salt, onion powder, garlic powder, dried thyme, brown sugar, and ground black pepper to the bag with the chicken.1/2 tablespoon Baking Powder, 1 Lemon, 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt, 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder, 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder, 1/4 teaspoon Dried Thyme, 1 teaspoon Brown Sugar, 3/4 tablespoon Ground Black Pepper
- Seal the bag and shake it gently, ensuring that every wing is evenly coated in the spice mixture.
- Arrange the seasoned wings in the air fryer basket in a single, even layer. Mist them lightly with olive oil spray.
- Close the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes. Make sure to flip the wings halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning.
- Once the wings are cooked through and the skin is golden and crispy, remove them from the air fryer.
- Serve the wings warm, tossed in additional lemon pepper seasoning, a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, or a garnish of diced green onions.Lemon Juice, Green Onions, Lemon Pepper Seasoning
Notes
To ensure the best texture, always preheat your air fryer and pat the wings completely dry with a paper towel before seasoning. Be careful not to overcrowd the basket, as touching wings will steam rather than fry.
